Inspire Health Teacher Academy - Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas

Inspire Health Teacher Academy is a 4-day workshop providing teachers with the opportunity to learn about a variety of health careers through hands-on activities presented by health professionals. Attendees will collaborate with other area teachers to incorporate health and health career lessons into their current curriculum. This workshop is for K-12 educators in all content areas who will be teaching in a southeast Kansas school for the 2024-2025 school year. Registration is limited to 10 teachers.

Dates: July 15 – July 18, 2024
Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Location: John U. Parolo Education Center, 3015 N. Michigan Street, Pittsburg, KS 66762

Lunch will be provided each day.

K-12 Classroom teachers will receive a $200 stipend for classroom materials to incorporate health and health career activities and lessons.

Continuing Education Course Credit: There is no cost to attend, however, up to 2 hours of undergraduate course credit will be available through Pittsburg State University. The course cost is $99 per credit hour. Inspire Health Foundation will provide funding for half of the course credit (up to $99).
