About Us
CHC/SEK is a federally qualified health center (FQHC) and participates in the 340B program, helping provide affordable, high-quality care to underserved communities. At CHC/SEK, we believe healthcare is a right—not a privilege. As the largest FQHC in Kansas, we serve nearly 90,000 patients each year through a growing network of clinics across southeast Kansas and northeast Oklahoma. We provide integrated medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and support services, meeting people where they are, in schools, workplaces, homes, and underserved communities. Currently we operate nine in-house Apothecare pharmacies, including our specialty pharmacy, Apothecare Select, dedicated to patient-centered care. As part of our team, you’ll be a valued partner in delivering care with dignity, empathy, and purpose.
Our Apothecare locations span southeast Kansas and serve the communities of Coffeyville, Columbus, Fort Scott, Iola, Parsons, Pittsburg, and Pleasanton.
Residents will complete the majority of their training at our main campus in Pittsburg, gaining hands-on experience at our flagship community pharmacy, Apothecare – North Pittsburg. This high-volume pharmacy dispenses over 3,000 prescriptions each week, offering residents a comprehensive learning environment. Residents will also benefit from dedicated time at the state-of-the-art John U. Parolo Education Center. Purposefully designed to support a wide range of multidisciplinary educational initiatives and serving as a hub for numerous community outreach efforts. Additionally, residents will have the opportunity to expand their clinical skills at Apothecare Select, our specialty pharmacy located in the heart of downtown Pittsburg, where they will be exposed to advanced clinical services and complex medication management.
